In this dark and dangerous world, children are born from corpses. Young Remy has been adopted by his mentor as a Foundling, to teach him to harness his magic.
But what happens if your magic is too dangerous to control, and your mentor dies?
Remy’s right eye is stolen by the killer, and his left is stolen by Fog. After being challenged by the strongest Wanderer alive, he is left completely blind. Contending with ‘The Doctrine’, which forces Wanderers to fight each other, Remy must also survive Twilight, which brings unimaginable horrors each night.
Relying on his tenacity and help from an unlikely Wanderer named Tio, Remy begins to understand his strange powers. But in his efforts, he unleashes something long forgotten by the world - Rage.
Can Remy and Tio survive the confrontation with their most dangerous enemy?
Who is the Hearkening Hand? And why have they carefully constructed this world for death and indifference?
